Shortly before 8:30 am on July 12, 2022 , the department was dispatched to the area of Arden Road and Lantern Lane for a Vehicle Rescue.
Callers reported a tree on a vehicle with at least 1 person trapped and power lines on the vehicle.

Deputy 56 arrived on scene and confirmed one person was trapped in the vehicle.

PECO responded quickly to ensure the power lines were de-energized. Once this was confirmed, rescue crews worked with Upper Merion Township Public Works Department to cut away parts of the tree to access the patient.

The patient was safely extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital for evaluation.
