On Sunday October 1st at 5:30pm Station 56 was dispatched to the intersection of South Gulph Rd and Dekalb Pike for a accident with injuries. Engine 56,Engine 56-1, Safety 56 and Deputy 56-1 responded quickly. Engine 56 arrived on scene with Medic 356-15 and determined the patient could not get out due to the driver door being crushed. Engine 56 placed hydraulic rescue tools in service to open the door. Rescue was complete by the ten minute mark.
