Upper Merion Township EMS Training Institute host the first Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, Upper Merion Township EMS Training Institute host the first night of training for the first Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) class at 300 West Beidler Road station. The first class included thirteen students from the local volunteer fire companies and surrounding communities. The EMT training course is approximately 184 hours and consists of classroom and practical lab scenarios. Earlier this year, the training institute received accreditation from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Upper Merion Township Fire and EMS Department would like to thank the Board of Supervisors, Township staff, the three Township volunteer fire companies, and all of the Fire and EMS Department personnel for their support in establishing the training center within the community. And a special thank you for the partnership established with the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company for the utilization of the fire station to host the training institute.
